Concert Moment – Wil

On Wednesday night, Sarah and I had the pleasure of seeing Wil Mimnaugh in concert for the 4th time. We first discovered Wil about 4 years ago when he opened up at the Starlite Room for Matt Good. His energy and raw talent is expressed through his music. His website is www.ibreakstrings.com and when you see him play you understand how appropriate that title is. He plays with a passion and energy like no other performer I’ve seen and in my opinion he is one of the best guitar players I have ever seen play live. If you ever get the chance to see him live you should definitely go check him out. In the meantime you should definitely pick up his latest album By December on iTunes.

We captured some great photos of Wil’s performance and I also took the opportunity to experiment with adding some video into the mix using my Canon 5D Mark II. The audio quality isn’t too bad considering I was just using the on-board microphone on the camera but eventually I plan to acquire an external microphone to improve the audio quality.
