Edmonton Studio Photography – Claudine L

A few weeks ago, my friend Claudine Lavoie stopped by the studio for a session so we could experiment with some lighting gear. Claudine is a fellow photographer from Edmonton who I met many years ago when I was first studying photography at Metro college.

Claudine creates amazing newborn and family photography and is also one of Bryan’s Angels - a team created in 2011 to help raise funds for the Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation. This group of amazing women (and men!) has helped Bryan raise more than $200,000 to fund cancer research. I had the opportunity to photograph last year’s Angels for the Delux Burger Celebrity Chef campaign and I can’t say enough good things about their fund raising efforts. Be sure to visit their team’s page on the Alberta Cancer website to learn more about them and to donate to their cause.

Here are a few of the images that we created using a mixture of natural light, reflectors, and studio lights. Special thanks to Mookie Salinas who provided hair and makeup services. If you are interested in learning more about working with studio lighting or off-camera flash, I have classes coming up this spring at the Burwell School of Photography. April 6th & 7th – Off Camera Flash.  May 4th & 5th – Studio Lighting.
