Allison and Thomas are such a sweet couple and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding in Edmonton this summer. Allison and Thomas met while working as guides at the Ukrainian Cultural Village near Elk Island National Park. We had hoped to photograph their engagement session at the Village but the timing and schedules with the park just didn’t work out so they opted for the next closest thing – Fort Edmonton Park. Notice we didn’t say the next best thing because apparently there is a bit of a rivalry between the guides at Fort Edmonton Park and those at the Ukrainian Cultural Village. Fortunately we didn’t run into any other guides while we were down there so we didn’t get to witness the rivalry first-hand.
It was a gorgeous evening if you ignored the gusting wind and mosquitoes and we had a great time wandering through the park getting to know them better. It was great having the park all to ourselves with nobody else around. Mother Nature also treated us to some beautiful light to work with and Fort Edmonton is full of great locations for engagement photography.
Allison and Thomas – we had a great time getting to know you better and we can’t wait for your wedding day in just a couple of months. In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at a few of our favourite photographs from your recent engagement session.
