Sue & Larry’s Wedding at the Hotel MacDonald

They say that the best things in life are worth waiting for and that certainly was the case for Larry as he waited 59 years to finally marry the love of his life in front of friends and family last weekend. Sue & Larry were married at Santa Maria Goretti Centre in Edmonton followed by a beautiful reception at the Hotel MacDonald in Edmonton and we got to work with some fabulous wedding vendors including High Culture Design, Fabloomosity, the Art of Cake, & Lauriane Rutberg.

The day started out at the hotel with both Larry & Sue getting ready. The girls looked radiant as they got their hair and makeup done by the talented Lauriane Rutberg. Meanwhile the guys were getting ready in the room next door so we had to be careful that the bride and groom didn’t run into each other beforehand as they wanted to save their first look for when Sue came down the aisle.

Once everyone was ready we headed to Santa Maria Goretti for their ceremony. I loved seeing Sue and her mom take a selfie in the limo on the way to church. So cute!

After the ceremony, we headed to the University of Alberta for some photographs with the family and wedding party before we headed back to the Hotel MacDonald for a few more photos and their amazing reception. The Wedgwood Room at the Hotel MacDonald always looks so beautiful and Rebecca and her team from High Culture did an amazing job taking it to that next level with beautiful florals from Fabloomosity. Each centrepiece was unique and featured a place where Sue & Larry had travelled or plan to travel in the future. The evening was capped off with a beautiful performance by Sue’s daughters who paid tribute to the new couple with a beautiful song.
