Paul Hamilton – Delux Burger Celebrity Chef

We’re in the thick of wedding season in Edmonton so this blog post is a few days late in coming as we try to squeeze in some blogging in between photo shoots and editing. Hard to believe that it’s August already but the start of a new month brings us another new Delux Burger Celebrity Chef. This month’s Celebrity Chef is Paul Hamilton from FC Edmonton – Edmonton’s professional soccer team. We met up with Paul a couple of months ago to do his photo shoot and Paul had some fun with it – even making use of his soccer skills to balance his creation on his head!

Paul’s creation is called “The Hammy” and features a 7 oz Heritage Angus Beef patty, BBQ sauce, black forest ham, swiss cheese and all the groceries on a fresh baked bun. Paul has chosen to support the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation and $1 from every burger sold will support the Stollery. Be sure to stop by either location of Delux during the month of August to try this great burger and support the Stollery.

Edmonton Commercial Photographer Captures The Bear’s Morning Show for Delux Burger Celebrity Chef Campaign

Happy Canada Day long weekend! July is here and that means it’s time for camping, long weekends, BBQs, patios, and another instalment of the Delux Burger Celebrity Chef campaign. This month’s Celebrity Chefs are Paul Brown, Yukon Jack, and Gillian Foote from 100.3 The Bear. The trio make up the station’s morning show and they’re offering up a trio of creations to tempt yourÂ taste buds.

Paul Brown’s creation, ‘The Big Wiener” Â is a foot-long hot dog, bacon tipped, topped with coleslaw, crispy onion curls, trailer park mustard, and mayo on a toasted bun. Yukon has combined the great flavours of a classic donair with a hamburger to create the ‘Donair Stack’. Yukon’s burger features a 70oz Heritage Angus beef patty, shaved donair meat, sweet sauce, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes on whole wheat flatbread. Gillian Foote went with a ‘Grilled Chicken Club’ feature a double breast of BBQ chicken topped with lettuce, tomato, double-smoked bacon, cheddar, and tangy chipotle mayo on a chibatta bun.

$1 from every burger or hot dog sold will support the Bear Children’s Fund. I had previously photographed both Yukon and Gillian before so it was nice catching up with them again. Yukon was the MC for the Alberta Government Head Shave for Cancer and Gillian participated in the Dancing for the Kids event a few years ago – both of which I photographed.

Delux Burger Celebrity Chef – Bryan’s Angels

Once again I had the pleasure to photograph another Delux Burger Celebrity Chef – or in this case Chefs. May’s Celebrity Chefs are a great group of local women who have formed Bryan’s Angels with a goal of raisingÂ $50,000 toward the Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation. These wonderful ladies are planning to run the stairs at the Royal Glenora Club 300 times on Saturday, June 9th to raise money towards their goal.

Their burger is called “The Heavenly Hamburger” and features a 7oz Heritage Angus Beef patty, orange cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese,Â avocado, tomatoes, sprouts, and garlic aioli on Â whole wheat flatbread. You stop by either location of Delux Burger during the month of May to try it and $1 from each burger sold will go to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation.

In addition to buying their burger or sponsoring them in their stair run, another way you can help is by attending ‘A Night Out with Bryan’s Angels’. This fund raiser and silent auction will be held on Thursday, June 7th fromÂ 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm atÂ Lexus of Edmonton.Â Tickets are only $20.00 and can be purchased at the door, by calling 780.907.3039, or emailing bryansAngels@gmail.com.

This was a very personal shoot for me as I photographed Bryan’s Angels while my brother-in-law was in the middle of his own battle with cancer which he ultimately lost a few weeks after this shoot. I can’t say enough good things about the cause they are raising funds for and really want to see them hit and surpass their goal. Delux Burger Celebrity Chef – Julia Daniluck

May has arrived and Andrew Usenik from Ten Second Epic exits stage left to make way for a new Delux Burger Celebrity Chef – Julia Daniluck from Team Julia. I had the pleasure of photographing Julia for the in-store promotional materials. Julia’s burger is called the Italian Job and features a 6oz Heritage angus beef meatball infused with italian herbs and spices, vine ripened tomatoes, bocconcini, fresh basil, and Italian vinaigrette on a fresh baked ciabatta bun.

Julia was diagnosed with MS in 2003 and since then she has been active in fund raising for the MS Society of Canada. You can also support Team Julia by visiting either location of Delux Burger in Edmonton during the month of May to try her creation – the Italian Job. $1 from every burger sold will be donated to the MS Society.

Delux Burger Celebrity Chef – Andrew Usenik from Ten Second Epic

Photography is one of those great professions where you get to meet people from all walks of life. The day after we returned from photographing a weddingÂ India, I had the good fortune of meeting up with Andrew Usenik – the lead singer for the band Ten Second Epic. We met up at West Edmonton Mall to create another series of commercial photographs for Delux Burger Bar. Andrew is the Celebrity Chef for the month of April. His Back Stage burger will be on the menu for the entire month of April and features a 7 oz Heritage Angus beef patty, pork belly pastrami, caramelized onions, melted jarlsberg cheese, fresh arugula, and BBQ may on a brioche bun.
