Covid-19 Outdoor Bootcamps with Run JMC

In addition to being a photographer for the past 12 years, I recently pursued my AFLCA certification and last October I started my training to become a coach at @otfnamao. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some pretty amazing women who have also been my fitness coaches for the past three years.

With Covid-19 forcing all gyms and fitness clubs to close, we all suddenly found ourselves unable to lead in-person classes. To fill the void until gyms are allowed to re-open, many of us have been volunteering our time to coach live classes on Instagram. As the weather has warmed up and restrictions on outdoor gathering have been loosened, three amazing women from my studio (@kmicik @melissa.rellier and @christydolson) have begun to run outdoor boot camps to help support small business in Edmonton as well as the Edmonton Humane Society. 50% of the proceeds from their bootcamps will be used to purchase items and gift certificates in support of small businesses in Edmonton. The other 50% will be donated to the SPCA in Edmonton. Participants at each bootcamp will receive a ticket into a draw and the winner will receive a gift basket consisting of the items and gift certificates purchased with one-half of the donations.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of shooting some BTS footage of their Run JMC Bootcamp in St. Albert. It was so great getting to see many of the familiar faces that we see in the studio on a regular basis and watching them get their sweat on. Congratulations Carrie Doll – Edmonton Portrait Photographer

For the past year and a half, Moments in Digital Photography has had the honour of working with the marketing department at CTV Edmonton to photograph many of their on-air personalities. Bruce had the pleasure of photographing Carrie Doll last year and those photographs have been used frequently this past week promoting Carrie’s final days on the air. Over the years we had the opportunity to photograph Carrie at many of the charity events that she was involved with and it was always such a joy working with her. This past Friday, Carrie had her final news broadcast and CTV Edmonton setup a special page in her honour. Here is a link to watch her signing off for one last time.

Corporate Photography for Edmonton’s River City Events

Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with the amazing team over at River City Events to help them create updated photographs for their website and marketing materials. We also used the opportunity to create a fun shot that they used for the annual Christmas card which ended up winning a Best of Edmonton business award from Capital Edmonton Ideas.

Joe Ammar is the president of River City Events and he and I have known each other going back to our high school days but it wasn’t until the last couple of years that we managed to reconnect after running into each other at Bridal Expo. Joe is surrounded by a great team of people who help organize some amazing events in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

We love collaborating with other wedding and event vendors in Edmonton so if you are planning a wedding or corporate event, be sure to give Joe and his team a call. They offer a wide range of services including event planning, event design, decor, and event rentals.

Here is a small sample of the B&W photographs that created for Joe and his team. We also created some fun color images that reveal each of the team’s personalities and interests but I won’t ruin the surprise. Edmonton Commercial Photography – Showhome Interiors

Now that the busy wedding and holiday season is behind us, we finally have some time to catch up on blogging some of the great photography projects we’ve been working on the past couple of months. A few months before Christmas, I had the chance to photograph some beautiful home interiors for a local builder to use on their website and in their marketing materials. I really enjoy these types of shoots but they can wind up being a bit dangerous for the pocket book as Sarah and I get ideas of things we’d like to change or upgrade in our home 🙂

In one of the homes I visited, they had a beautiful chocolate lab who happily settled into his bed in the living room while I snapped away which made for some wonderful photos reminiscent of a Normal Rockwell painting. Here are a few samples of the work we created for the builder and home owners.

Ryann Bradley – Delux Burger Celebrity Chef

It’s September and that means it’s back to school time. Remember when your mom used to send you off to school with a delicious peanut butter sandwich in your lunch? Well this month’s Delux Burger Celebrity Chef is bringing that love of peanut butter to a hamburger.

This month’s Delux Burger Celebrity Chef is Ryann Bradley from Lite 95.7 and his burger “The Peanut Butter Crunch” is featured on the menu for the month of September. Â Ryann’s burger features a 7oz Heritage Angus beef patty, orange cheddar, double-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and crunchy peanut butter on a fresh baked brioche bun with a deep fried pickle on top. Ryann has chosen to support theÂ LeukemiaÂ and Lymphoma Society of Alberta with his burger and $1 from every burger sold will be donated to this great charity.
