Edmonton Wedding Photographers – J+N Engagement Session

A couple of weeks ago, Sarah and I got to spend a few hours with a fabulous couple who were the lucky winners of an engagement session that we gave away in conjunction with Weddings in Alberta. We met up with Jesse and Neil on the grounds of the Alberta Legislature which held special meaning for them since it was the place where Neil proposed to Jesse.

From the moment we met them we knew it was going to be a fun session. We share similar personalities and it wasn’t hard to get them laughing and goofing around with each other. They even came prepared with props including bubbles and hockey jerseys to show off their love for the Edmonton Oilers and Team Canada (boo to the NHL lockout).

The light was gorgeous so we wandered around the grounds of the Legislature before strolling across the high level bridge and then into the river valley trails where we found some fun graffiti on the walls. Here are a few of the photos from our fun session together.

Edmonton Wedding Photographers – A+T’s Sneak Peek

This past Saturday, we were blessed to help Amanda & Trevor document their wedding moment in Edmonton. This was an extra special day as it wasn’t just two lives coming together but three, as Trevor was joined not just with Amanda but with her beautiful daughter Olivia.

The day started out with the girls getting ready at the Hotel Macdonald and the guys suiting up over at the Westin Hotel. Amanda’s beautiful dress was from The Bridal House and makeup was courtesy of Stephanie from Edmonton Makeup Artists. Amanda’s beautiful flowers were done by Kate Ashton Florists

Once everyone was ready we headed over to St. Matthews Catholic Church for the ceremony where both Amanda and Trevor held back some tears as they saw each other for the first time in the church. After the ceremony and family photos, we headed out to some abandoned farm buildings in St. Albert to photograph the bridal party and the happy couple. It was very hot for September and not a cloud in the sky but our decaying farm buildings made for the perfect shelter from the hot sun.

After formals we headed to the Enjoy Centre for their reception where it was the groomsmen’s speeches that started the tears flowing and they continued on through the speeches from the bridesmaids, family and close friends.

Probably the most beautiful part of the evening was when Trevor shared a father-daughter dance with Olivia while Amanda watched from the side. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the place as he squeezed her tight and she kissed him on the nose. It reminded us why we love being photographers and how lucky we are to get to share in these special moments and to be able to use our gifts and talents to immortalize these memories for generations.

Ryann Bradley – Delux Burger Celebrity Chef

It’s September and that means it’s back to school time. Remember when your mom used to send you off to school with a delicious peanut butter sandwich in your lunch? Well this month’s Delux Burger Celebrity Chef is bringing that love of peanut butter to a hamburger.

This month’s Delux Burger Celebrity Chef is Ryann Bradley from Lite 95.7 and his burger “The Peanut Butter Crunch” is featured on the menu for the month of September.  Ryann’s burger features a 7oz Heritage Angus beef patty, orange cheddar, double-smoked bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and crunchy peanut butter on a fresh baked brioche bun with a deep fried pickle on top. Ryann has chosen to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Alberta with his burger and $1 from every burger sold will be donated to this great charity.

Here are a few photographs from our photo shoot at the Delux Burger location in West Edmonton Mall along with the final ad piece.
