Fashion Shoot in Edmonton with Ashley from Numa Models

Many of our readers know that we photograph a lot of weddings and engagements but did you know that we also photograph a lot of portrait sessions throughout the year including headshots, family portraits, corporate branding, and editorial photography for businesses? Recently I was contacted to collaborate on a portfolio building session with Ashley who is currently modelling for a local modelling agency in Edmonton called Numa Models and was looking to build up her portfolio of fashion and editorial work.

Now no shoot would be complete without an amazing team to work with. We partnered with a couple of great local Edmonton artists for hair and makeup. Raven Dee from Raven Dee Makeup Artistry provided the makeup for this shoot. This was my first time working with Raven and she is an amazing makeup artist who recently relocated back to Edmonton after spending some time in Las Vegas. My friend Jill Keech is a talented hairstylist and photographer and she did a fantastic job styling Ashley’s hair in a couple of different dry/wet looks for this shoot.

Recently we’ve also been experimenting with adding video to our services so this was another great opportunity to work on a behind-the-scenes video showing off the production work that goes into a photoshoot like this. Edmonton Portrait Photographer – Michael Walters Campaign Photos

It’s been a busy time around the Moments in Digital Photography studio. Between teaching courses and gearing up for wedding season in Edmonton, I’ve also been keeping busy with commercial and portrait photography in the studio. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of welcoming Michael Walters into the studio to get some headshots done. Michael is running for Edmonton’s City Council in Ward 10 this fall and he needed to get some professional photographs taken to use on his website and in his marketing materials.

Michael came by the studio and brought a couple of outfits so we could create a mixture of business and casual looks. Michael plans to use these photographs in his marketing and other campaign materials in the upcoming fall election. We had a great discussion about city politics and Michael has some great ideas for the city of Edmonton. Edmonton Studio Photography – Claudine L

A few weeks ago, my friend Claudine Lavoie stopped by the studio for a session so we could experiment with some lighting gear. Claudine is a fellow photographerÂ from Edmonton who I met many years ago when I was first studying photography at Metro college.

Claudine creates amazing newborn and family photography and is also one of Bryan’s Angels -Â a team created in 2011 to help raise funds for the Bryan Mudryk Golf Classic in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation. This group of amazing women (and men!) has helped Bryan raise more than $200,000 to fund cancer research. I had the opportunity to photograph last year’s Angels for the Delux Burger Celebrity Chef campaign and I can’t say enough good things about their fund raising efforts. McCurdy Family – Edmonton Family Photographers

Over the Christmas holidays, Sarah and I had the pleasure of having the McCurdy family in the studio to create some family photographs. All 20 members of their family were gathered in Edmonton for the holidays and decided it was the perfect opportunity to get a family photograph done. We had a great time working with everyone and enjoyed some great laughs in the studio while capturing some special moments with this delightful family.

When is the last time you had a proper family photograph done? When life gets busy it’s easy to put off things like getting the family together for a photograph, but life can change quickly and we’ve learned to capture moments when you have the chance. Â With the busy spring and summer wedding season coming, now would be a great time to book us for your family portrait. We can shoot on location at your home, at our studio downtown, or at another location that might be important to you or just a fun place for a photograph.

Corporate Photography for Edmonton’s River City Events

Just before Christmas, I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with the amazing team over at River City Events to help them create updated photographs for their website and marketing materials. We also used the opportunity to create a fun shot that they used for the annual Christmas card which ended up winning a Best of Edmonton business award from Capital Edmonton Ideas.

Joe Ammar is the president of River City Events and he and I have known each other going back to our high school days but it wasn’t until the last couple of years that we managed to reconnect after running into each other at Bridal Expo. Joe is surrounded by a great team of people who help organize some amazing events in Edmonton and surrounding areas.

We love collaborating with other wedding and event vendors in Edmonton so if you are planning a wedding or corporate event, be sure to give Joe and his team a call. They offer a wide range of services including event planning, event design, decor, and event rentals.

We also created some fun color images that reveal each of the team’s personalities and interests but I won’t ruin the surprise.
