Alumni, faculty, and current students from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta gathered for a meet & greet at Central Social Hall in Edmonton. Photographer Bruce Clarke from Moments in Digital Photograph was on-hand to photograph the event, which allowed attendees the opportunity to catch up with each other over appetizers and enjoy activities including a photo booth and live DJ.

In March of 2023, Moments in Digital Photography was asked to photograph the grand opening of the brand-new location of Specsavers in West Edmonton Mall. The red carpet event attracted thousands of visitors to their new store, and customers had the opportunity to tour the new location, book eye exams, and take advantage of special promotions to purchase new eyewear. There were plenty of giveaways and prizes along with several VIP guests in attendance. Here are a few highlights from this event. If your company is having a critical milestone event such as a grand opening or anniversary, consider professional photography as an integral part of your event to record its legacy.
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of working with Invert720 to photograph the retirement gala for Edmonton Oilers’ legend – Kevin Lowe in Ford Hall at Rogers Place. Lowe spent over 40 years with the Oilers organization as a player, coach, and general manager – capturing 5 Stanley Cups with Edmonton during his time as a player. Ford Hall was the chosen venue for this event and several Oilers alumni were in attendance to celebrate Kevin’s remarkable career including Mark Messier, Glenn Anderson, Jari Kurri, Glen Sather, and Paul Coffey.

Once again, Moments in Digital Photography had the pleasure of photographing the 2024 CASA Carnival at the Edmonton Convention Centre. This annual fundraising event raises funds to support the CASA Mental Health organization. This year’s event raised over $400,000 in support of mental health for children, youth and their families across Alberta. The event was organized and planned by Caitlin McElhone Events and event production was handled by the talented team at Invert720. Recently, this event was selected as a finalist in 4 categories at the 2025 Canadian Event Awards. The winners of the awards will be announced at the end of April at the Canadian Event Awards Gala.
In addition to providing photography coverage of the event, we also captured video footage from the event which was assembled to produce a hilite reel from the evening. Scroll down to experience the event through our photos and video.
Edmontonians love to support their community and raise funds for great causes. Last week I photographed the Harvest Gala 2024 in support of the Royal Alex Hospital Foundation for Caitlin McElhone Events. This year’s gala, held at the Edmonton Convention Centre, raised over $1,000,000 for the Lois Hole Hospital for Women. Guests were treated to a variety of entertainment and a fabulous dinner prepared by Executive Chef Serge Belair. The room looked amazing thanks to the lighting and production from the team at Invert720 Productions.
