Fall is one of our favourite times of year for photography. It’s also one of the busiest seasons for wedding photographers as the wedding season starts to wind down and family and engagement sessions ramp up with everyone wanting to take advantage of the milder temperatures and beautiful fall colours.

One of those couples looking to take advantage of the fall colours was Kim & Tyler who’s wedding we are really looking forward to photographing next July. With Kim having a busy schedule at the hospital and Tyler heading off to Cambridge for school for a few months, our dates to shoot were limited but we managed to find a beautiful fall evening when they were both free to get together to do their engagement session. These two totally knocked it out of the park and had such a great time at their session that there was never a moment without smiles and laughter.

Enjoy this sneak peek and stay tuned to the blog for more sneak peeks from their wedding in Edmonton next year!

  • Katie & Dylan’s Engagement Photos in Mill Creek Ravine

Katie & Dylan’s Engagement Photos in Mill Creek Ravine

We had the pleasure of meeting Katie and Dylan just over a month ago when we photographed Melissa & Jesse’s wedding at the Art Gallery. Katie is one of Jesse’s sisters and was also part of the bridal party that day. She had such a great experience working with us, that before she had even seen all of the photos from her brother’s wedding, she couldn’t wait to call us up to see if we were available to photograph her and Dylan’s wedding next year.

When someone puts that much trust in us, we are always so honoured as we take great pride not only in our photography but also in the experience clients have with us on the wedding day which is something that a lot of people overlook when searching for a wedding photographer.

Katie is a teacher and Dylan works for the Fire Department so they both have busy schedules but we managed to get together just before the school year got underway to do their engagement session in Mill Creek Ravine. Enjoy this sneak peek from their session and keep an eye on the blog for more of this beautiful couple next year!

  • Eisen & Clarence – Summer Engagement Photos in Edmonton

Eisen & Clarence – Summer Engagement Photos in Edmonton

Hard to believe that we’re already half-way through August and before we know it fall will be here. But before it arrives we still have several weeks of summer left and lots of great photo sessions to share with our readers.

Today we’re excited to share a sneak peek from Eisen & Clarence’s summer engagement photos in Edmonton. When we first meet with our couples at the studio, one of the common things we hear from them is that they are nervous to get in front of the camera and are not sure what to expect. Most couples also comment that they don’t think that they look good in photos so a big part of our job is making our clients feel comfortable and relaxed so that they can be themselves.

This is one of the main reasons why we love to do engagement sessions with our couples. Not only do they get some great professional images of themselves, it’s also a great opportunity to build their confidence in front of the camera so that when the wedding day rolls around they are relaxed, confident, and excited to get in front of our cameras.

This was definitely the case with Eisen and Clarence who had expressed their nervousness about photos to us when we met. Despite their concerns, it only took a few minutes to get them joking and laughing with each other during their session in Whitemud Creek and when the hour was up, we came away with some amazing images for them. Enjoy this sneak peek from their summer engagement session.

    The Engagement Session

In just over a month, Cara & Sean will say their I Do’s in front of their friends and family. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding day. We met up with them a couple of weeks ago on a beautiful summer night to photograph their engagement session.

I don’t think a moment went by when they weren’t looking at each other or giggling. These are always great signs that a couple is crazy about each other and can’t wait to tie the knot.

Both Cara & Sean never had explored Whitemud Park before so it was an added bonus getting to introduce them to one of our favourite spots to go for a stroll or romantic walk in the city. Where is your favourite spot or hidden gem in Edmonton where you go to get away from it all?

Enjoy these photos from their engagement session and stay tuned to the blog for sneak peeks from their wedding this fall.

  • Jennifer & Michael’s Engagement Photos at the Devonian Botanic Gardens

Jennifer & Michael’s Engagement Photos at the Devonian Botanic Gardens

This weekend we’re excited to photograph Jennifer & Michael’s wedding at the Devonian Botanic Gardens. Since they live out of town, this week was the first time we were able to meet up to do their engagement photos at the Devonian Botanic Gardens. Since it was their first time to visit the gardens, it was also a chance for them to preview their ceremony site and do a bit of pre-scouting for their wedding day.

Jennifer and Michael met at a friends party and an innocent invite to go out for tea ended up being misinterpreted as a date but it must have worked out as these two cuties will be tying the knot on Saturday. Here is a sneak peek of some of our favourite photos from their recent engagement session at the Devonian Botanic Gardens. Be sure to stay tuned to the blog for hilites from their wedding day!
