We really enjoy photographing small, intimate weddings so we were really excited to photograph Nicole & Zach’s fall wedding at the beginning of October. They held a small ceremony at St.Anthony’s Parish on Whyte Ave and then headed to O’Byrne’s Irish Pub afterward to escape the rain and enjoy a few pints with their closest friends and relatives. Small ceremonies are great because we find that our couples who choose to go this route really get to relax and enjoy the day and have fewer demands on their time compared to a large wedding with hundreds of guests competing for their attention.
After enjoying a few pints and some appetizers, the weather had cleared up so we headed over to the University of Alberta for a few photos with Nicole & Zach and their wedding party which included a few photos with a vintage Corvette belonging to Zach’s father.
Once the formal photos were done, we headed back to Characters Restaurant on 105th Street to capture candid photos during their laid back reception. But the party didn’t end there. A few weeks after the wedding, Nicole & Zach held a second larger reception at the Polish Hall to celebrate their union with extended family and friends.
Enjoy this sneak peek from their fall wedding in Edmonton.
Thanks again to the other great vendors who we were able to work with on Nicole & Zach’s wedding in Edmonton.
