Sapna & Scott are getting married this weekend at the Art Gallery of Alberta and we recently had the opportunity to get together with them to photograph their at-home engagement session in Edmonton in their new home in Kesswick, which is a brand-new development in Edmonton’s southwest. Choosing the location for your engagement photos can leave some clients stumped so we often suggest choosing a location that has some significance or importance to you and your story. Perhaps it’s where you first met or where you went on your first date. In the case of Sapna & Scott, their home is their first big purchase together and where they’ll be starting their married lives so it made perfect sense to start there.
Scott loves to watch the NFL and since we did their session on a Sunday, we started out with a few casual photos in their home where Scott was able to enjoy a bit of the game while snuggling with Sapna on the couch. Afterwards, we went for a stroll through their new neighbourhood and discovered some beautiful walking trails with views of the river valley and the North Saskatchewan River that were just steps away from their new house. As avid nature lovers, Sapna & Scott are looking forward to spending more time in their new neighbourhood and being able to step outside their door and go for walks feeling like they’ve left the hustle and bustle of the city without having to drive anywhere.
Enjoy this sneak peek from their engagement session and keep an eye on the blog for sneak peeks from their fall wedding at the Art Gallery of Alberta.
