Brandy & Stephan’s Wedding in Lac La Biche

One of the many things we love about wedding photography in addition to the great people we meet is getting to opportunity to travel to new locations across Alberta and around the world. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of travelling up north to create wedding photos in Lac La Biche for Brandy & Stephan. If you’ve never been up to Lac La Biche, it’s a very scenic drive up there from Edmonton dotted with foothills, open prairies, and rolling hills.

The day started with Brandy & Step getting ready at her aunt Bev’s acreage just a few kilometres out of town. Aunt Bev was a fabulous host and made us feel right at home while we photographed the guys and girls getting ready for the wedding. Once everyone was ready, we made our way over to MacArthur Place for their ceremony which was held on the back deck overlooking Lac La Biche. It was a pretty windy day which made for a bit of a chilly ceremony for the girls but thankfully there were several chivalrous gentlemen willing to give up their coats to keep the girls warm during the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we headed back to Aunt Bev’s for photos with the family and wedding party before heading back to MacArthur Place for their ceremony & wedding reception. We really enjoyed the laid back day that Brandy & Steph planned and it was nice that everyone had an opportunity in between the wedding and the reception to relax and spend time with their friends and family.
