We’re looking forward to photographing Chris & Jeremiah’s same sex wedding this weekend at the Muttart Conservatory but before that takes place, we wanted to share a few of our favourites from their same sex engagement session that we photographed on a chilly afternoon just before New Years.
Both guys were a bit nervous before the session started but after being in front of our cameras for just a few minutes, they both relaxed and we had a great time getting to know them a bit better as we wandered around downtown Edmonton. We finished up at the Legislature grounds where they like to spend time together going for walks and it also gave us a chance to get into the sun and warm up a bit on one of the rare cold days we’ve experienced in Edmonton this year.
Enjoy this sneak peek and keep an eye on the blog for photographs from their wedding in a few weeks.
Isn’t it just a wedding….just an engagement shoot? Pretty obvious that they are a beautiful gay couple. Why say same sex?

Hi Audrey. We agree with you completely and we look forward to the day when labels aren’t attached to weddings of any kind. The only reason for specifically mentioning that it was a same-sex session, is so that the post shows up when people are searching for photographers who have experience with same-sex couples and who embrace them. Despite how far we’ve come as a society, believe it or not, there are still people out there who are against gay marriage. We want to make sure people know that we fully support marriage of all types and feel comfortable photographing them.
