Alison and Shawn are getting married in Edmonton this summer and we recently met up with them for their engagement session. Since their wedding will be taking place out at Hastings Lake Gardens, they wanted to do their engagement session in a location that offered a bit of a contrast from where their wedding photos will take place. We decided to head downtown so their photos would have more of an urban feel. Shooting downtown is always an adventure and you’ll never know what you’ll see or smell when you start exploring some of the back alleys downtown but the variety of old and new buildings offer great backdrops for photos. We had some great evening light to work with and the mild spring temperatures we are experiencing in Edmonton this year helped to make everyone feel comfortable.
